The Guns 'n Roses bit hit me in the feels. I saw them in a small 2400 seat theater in May of '88 (the same one where Savatage filmed "When the Crowds Are Gone" a year later). it's an old 1920s movie palace with balcony seating and we had front row on said balcony. An unobstructed view of a band who in just a couple of months hit the bigtime. Still can't believe I had trouble talking

Been a fan since the first one in '84. I enjoy Circus quite a bit except when they did the re-releases some years ago I got one of the copies where one of the songs has this weird noise almost like a big record scratch in it. I never bothered replacing it because I already had the original anyway... Blackie's coming around these parts for two shows in early December. I've got 5th row for th

Great review! My wife and I are going to see him live 10/20 so I ordered this to be delivered to her at work as a pre-show surprise.

Our cable company carried MTV pretty early on when they only had a couple hundred videos. This was one of those so it was in heavy rotation for a year or so. Good tune!

No shame in liking Nelson at all. My wife and I merged CD collections when we got married back in 1998 and both owned a copy of ATR. My only regret is when they toured here on the album, my younger cousin wanted to go but I had something else going on and couldn't take her so my aunt "had to". Wish I'd have gotten to see that live show. Love "Lightning Strikes Twice" and

Because I liked it so much, I ord

Be worth checking out for the Rockford stuff alone (my hometown). I've heard crappy sounding bootlegs of some of the songs. It was the last time they played "Rock and Roll Hell" live until one of the KISS Kruises decades later. Looking forward to this.

My wife's boss Joe has this strange knack for meeting famous people and having not a clue who they are. Once he was playing pool in a bar in WI and a bunch of longhairs asked to join in. Turned out they were Poison and had just played a show at Alpine Valley... A few years ago on the Monday after Thanksgiving, my wife called me at work and asked me if I'd ever heard of Desmond Child. Well -

Trunk asked Blackie directly if he was gonna haul Animal out again. Blackie said he wasn't 100% sure yet but was leaning on the side of Yes. Made a comment about how the genie was already out of that bottle. We'll see.

I've seen them three times. Opened for KISS on the Asylum tour in early '86 at the Rockford Metro Centre, then in '96 (I think) with Motorhead at the Vic in Chicago, and the most recent was in a giant barn north of Madison, WI with some band called the Impotent Sea Snakes opening. Can't remember the exact year but I know it was prior to 2002.

Blackie Lawless was live on Eddie Trunk's show earlier today and announced the band's first US dates in over a decade. I am beyond excited about this. Planning to be at both St. Charles shows! https://www.waspnation.com/post/w-a-s-p-announce-us-tour-dates-for-40-years-live-world-tour-2022

I like the Twisted Sister one well enough. 7th Heaven's is great - streamable from their website. I'll be listening to those tomorrow while spending a half hour wrapping presents and two hours moving my cats off the wrapping paper...

Back in the early 90s I worked at a CD shop in Rockford and he would come in and drop hundreds on Beatles and Jeff Beck bootlegs.
