Bret Michaels solo show. It was a make up date for a rainout a year earlier. Two opening bands - an 80s tribute and a Journey tribute that both had friends of mine in them. Both bands were forbidden to play "Don't Stop Believin'" because Bret was gonna play it. A Journey tribute that can't play DSB. Uhh, okay... After the openers, Bret came bouncing out with his, "We're not

Back in the early nineties, I worked in a CD shop and we had a copy of Gary Moore's "Still Got the Blues" we'd play over the in-store stereo. I had no idea why the title track's melody was so familiar. Drove me nuts for years when I'd hear it. Then VH1 had that show called Pop-Up Video and mystery was solved. Lionel Richie's "Hello".

Jamel is great. NoLifeShaq and BillyYSC are both fun, too. I really enjoy how earnest they are at checking out musical genres they normally would not be exposed to.

When I was about 7 years old or so, we got HBO and they played The Buddy Holly Story all the time. My uncle gifted me a BH greatest hits 8-track which I'd pop into my dad's stereo and play nonstop for hours. The true King of Rock and Roll, to me. Would have been awesome to see what he would have accomplished had he not been killed so young.

Widowmaker - stand By For Pain I absolutely LOVE Blood and Bullets so I ordered SBFP from my local Media Play, assuming I'd like it just as much. Man I wish places like Amazon existed back then where I could have previewed it first.

I just saw him live for the first time last night. It was just him onstage with a guitar and piano and it was excellent. The three new songs he played sounded good to me on first listen, and all the hits were there. He wasn't gonna play "Hazard" but someone in the audience shouted out for it and he added it right then. Wife rated it a top five show in her concert history so I

I was at the Milwaukee show that was one of three recorded for Queensryche's Operation: Livecrime. Third row seats and it was cool to see Wayne Isham do his thing with the Steadicam. Suicidal Tendencies opened - probably the strangest opener/headliner combo I've seen. Rick Springfield - Live in Rockford. You can see me in a few crowd shots.
