Rush Street is absolutely my favorite from RM as well. I love some of the more melodic rock type songs than were on the first two albums - both still excellent as well.

Actually, now that I think about it, I believe it was Andrew who posted the link to his Twitter feed. Sorry for the confusion!

After seeing clips of the recent weather where you are Andrew, you're better off staying in bed as long as possible!

I did not see 15 versions of Eye of the Tiger coming - I had no idea it had so many variants. Confirms my decision not to be a completist. :)

While going through the CD collection size thread again, it made me think about which albums I've purchased and own multiple versions of. Based on a quick review, I've purchased the early Iron Maiden albums at least 8 different ways/times and the key Rush albums nearly the same amount. Between original/Japanese/Remasters/Box Sets there are a lot of my favorite artists I've done this with. Surely

About 2,500 CDs and growing every week. Like many others on this thread, I dumped all my vinyl in the early 90s and so have zero LPs. About 50 music-focused DVD/BluRays. I have taken over an entire section of our storage room at the house and had an HVAC drop added so it is temperature controlled year-round. :)

So I was out on the deck this morning having a cup of coffee when a song comes on Yacht Rock Radio on SiriusXM (Don't judge me - it's perfect for a weekend morning!) that I'd never heard before. Kenny Loggins - Love has come of age, not sure how I completely missed this as it has a cool, funky vibe with some jazzy elements that immediately made me think the Toto boys played on it in 1979. I looke

Certainly the first album is more raw and heavier, but some great songs on there for sure. NOTC is a lot more polished, which fit in well with the times. I really like everything they have ever released and remain hopeful of at least one more at some point.

I saw that Qobuz has this album listed as available in CD quality to purchase, but it wouldn't let me do it from here in the US. Anyone want to help me out and purchase it for me? I'll add $20 to the cost to make it worth your while! :)

Not to be too hyperbolic, but this album is one of my top 10 from the entire 1980's and I've listened to it more times than I can count. The more upbeat songs like Hold Me Now, You Don't Have to Cry Anymore and Heaven Knows Which Way are just amazing. Not sure why they changed style direction so heavily on the next one, but we'll always have this classic.

Love this album, one of my favorites from these guys - who can still bring it live in their 70s.

Doesn't change my anticipation for the new album, but this is a skip track for me. I've heard it once and have no desire for a second time.

Steve is in top form on this album and song. Such a great live performer when I saw him on the Audio Visions tour.

This type of situation is what gives me pause when I'm deciding to go to a live show for a band I love. If it's going to detract from the memory of past, killer gigs then I just stay home and listen to an old live CD/DVD and be thankful for what once was. Having said that, the ones that can still bring it live 30-40 years later are just amazing in my book (e.g. Toto)

How much of it the greatly reduced cost of production that technology has enabled? I see the videos of Kip and Reb recording to their computer in the past and think that technology has made it possible for literally anyone to make an album.

I still remember hearing Shout on the radio here in America for the first time and I instantly became a Robin McAuley fan. Immediately purchased Samurai and it remains my favorite.

Agreed and I think it actually gets stronger in the second half of the album. So glad he still has so much creativity in him given how many different projects he is a part of.
