I'm new to Marty's work, but I'm enjoying tonight's listening of his new CD. Just wondering what other people's thoughts are, and whether it's likely to be classed as inferior to whatever his peak period was. And, if he's done anything sublime, please let me know, so I can investigate :)

I don't know if he's a perfectionist or simply unproductive, considering his (lack of output). I'd be happy to see him do a speaking tour, and perform a few downtuned tracks. Even then, I think that would be too much to ask...

It's my favourite track too, especially with Jorn doing his best Coverdale impression all over it

The Steve Walsh track, released from this album had a few Arabic elements too. Might be a theme?

Haha! Love the scratch n sniff comment! I liked Roots, after seeing a clip of the music video for Ratamahatta on Top of the Pops, of all places, as a 12 year old lad. Saw them live with a different singer, years later, supporting Motorhead. Bought the album from that year. Awful.

Nothing about George Lynch, but Steve Perry has appeared in my dreams once or twice, performing in my local theatre in Wales, UK. Not bloody likely in the real world!

Other than 'One of Us' (and Prince's cover of it in 1996), I'm unfamiliar with her music, but I can't fault the song Cap posted. I'm intrigued...

I just finished listening to Neal's Late Nite album for the first time and I don't know why I've put it off for the 17 years I've loved Journey! I really enjoyed it but was wondering everyone else's views, or the general consensus around the record. Also, where do I go from here? Beyond the Thunder seems like the natural next move, but as it was years later, I assume it's completely differ

I know his output for the last twenty plus years has been inadequate, but I find his new LP to be pretty decent. Not a rocker in sight, as you might expect, but if this is his swansong (he seems very stiff on stage and even when speaking, which gives me some concern), I'd be quite proud of it, if I was him. Has anyone else bothered to give it listen, or did they give up years ago?

I don't mind Van Halen, and I have a considerable music collection but if someone told me a CD by a group I cherished, like Journey, was available as a One-of-a-kind misprint, I would tell them to bugger off, even if I was a multi -billionaire.

I only own 'Destiny', and like that. Literally the only other song of theirs I know, is 'Wheels of Steel.' Which I also like... Where do I go from here?

Hi folks, I'm just diving into Whitesnake after many years of putting it off... If you're from the UK and buy the £5.99 cd remaster of the aforementioned album, you get the MP3 Auto-Rip of the full Super Deluxe Edition at no extra cost! I appreciate that the Evolutions disc might be only worth a one-off listen, but <£6 is better than £50+. Just in case anyone is interested, here's
