Hi Dave, I bought the new Dokken, Extreme and Winger, and among them, the album that I listened to the most by far, is a new Dokken album. Don can't sing like he used to but the album is very consistent with strong songs and tons of melodies and vocal harmonies. I am just glad that Don and co were able to come up with something enjoyable, I was ready to be disappointed.

You nailed it!! It's HEART not LOVE, could not hear it right among crowded people. As a TOTO fan myself, how I am ignorant about the album and the song surprised me. Thanks everyone who cared to reply and thank you Sven!

The other day I was walking on the street and some music was being played by a bunch of people who were there. It sounded like a typical mid to late '80s pop rock/AOR, in the mold of early Bryan Adams, Survivor, Van Stephenson etc, and the voice was a little rougher, kind of like Huey Lewis, and it had the line "I'm giving you the only love I have" at chorus. I did some search mys

I have ordered twice from MusicBuyMail.com and my experiences were not pleasing. The guy who run the site(named Rainer Urmann) is too slow that you can not get any update for weeks since you placed an order. Wondering whether some of you have experienced the similar kind of pain.

I'd describe Lazarus Dream as a melodic metal/hard rock band with an AOR sensibility and overall musical abilities of highly technical progressive bands. So, something like hybrid of Dokken, Pretty Maids and Symphony X if it makes sense.

What an excellent melodic metal track! I like how it interestingly builds into huge chrous which is so melodic and infectious. I own the 2 previous CDs from Lazarus Dream and I will order this one soon. The overall musical prowess and depth among members are top class.

I like both singles. At this point my expextations weren't high, and I'm pleasantly surprised that Don was still able to write the songs that sound like Dokken. Melodic yet heavy, and the hook is undeniable.

I agree. Don Dokken had range, also had a great voice in mid to low key as well. And another very important point is, no one sounded like him, when everyone was starting to sound alike. It's a shame that he took his talent for granted and didn't take a good care of his voice, but in the '80s, he was the best singer.

Why wouldn't he? Sweet has a long list of international hits and they are still a decent draw. A lot of guitarists would kill to be in Mitch's position.

Hi Lee, that's a great news! Second Nature was one of my favorite albums of the year and I'm glad that you did for another album with Lionheart. Really looking forward to buying the new album.

Will there be a new Touch album this year? That's a great news! Doug Howard is a very good vocalist and a great writer.

Dokken is my all time favorite band and I'm a sucker for any band who sounds similar to Dokken. I definitely get the Dokken vibe and they also remind me of Bonfire.

Hey Terry, I am with you on House of Lords. I like all their recent albums such as Big Money, Saints of The Lost Souls, Indestructible. They are all very fine pompous melodic hard rock albums. As for their new song I'm still torn as it sounds considerably less epic but let's hope there would be more bigger sounding songs on the album.

I still keep The End Machine in my rotation and spin it from time to time hoping for it to eventually grow on me, but my patience is wearing thin with every passing day. The songs just are not there, and production wise, the closest sounding Dokken record to The End Machine, is sadly Shadowlife. Though he got a little better with Dirty Shirley, I guess George just doesn't have any good new music

I think their current singer is really good, and the 2 albums that they released with that new singer were excellent. I didn't care much for their double cover albums but I'm excited that they didn't get lazy and the new album is on the way.

It's a great album. But a box of cds was found out of nowhere? It says that the inventory management isn't being properly handled. Looks like something needs to be done immediately.

I have all 3 albums and Arrival is one of the best '80s sounding hard rock albums ever, were Arrival released in '87 with I Don't Want To Live Without You Now as a single, it would've easily gone gold. Like all of you have mentioned, Pearson is a great talent, it's a pity that he didn't record more albums.

Up From The Ashes for me. That album proved that Dokken was musically Don's baby really. Wicked Sensation has too many songs that sound very similar and has some stupid lyrics also, though Lynch was on fire and the overall production was better.

For me, The End Machine is 0 for 2 so far. 2 songs that they have released lack energy, drive and harmonies, not what I was expecting from 75% of classic Dokken. Seems like the tandem of George and Jeff doesn't have anything left as a dynamic songwriting duo. I get the feeling that The End Machine is going to be a failure, I hope the new project of Jeff Pilson, Reb Beach and Robin McAuley can tur

Yes, I saw them several times. I missed their prime because I was too young in the '80s. I saw them for the 1st time in 2006 and Jon Levin was on guitar and I believe Greg Smith was on bass and Adam Hamilton was on drums. They were thin on vocal harmonies but I thought they were awesome. And I went to Japan to see their reunion run in 2016 and though Don was struggling, it was great to see the cl

It's great to see the first page of Messageboard being dominated by Dokken related threads, one of the best American hard rock bands ever. They were too dark and heavy for glam rock fans yet a little too light for metalheads. Their music wasn't light but the way they were dressed and the way they were marketed probably were. And in my opinion they picked the wrong singles for Back For The Atta

What a criminally underrated band. In a perfect world they would be bigger than Iron Maiden. You're one lucky dude if you caught them live.

I don't need a Newman compilation album since I have most of his albums already. What he really need to do is to re-release some of his now really hard to get albums like s/t, One Step Closer, Dance In The Fire, The Art of Balance, those albums are masterpieces that need to be heard by more people. It's a crime that they aren't available anymore.

George should get John West. Though he only sang for Lynch Mob on tour and never recorded any music with the band, he was clearly the best ever Lynch Mob singer. George is a respected guitar player and Lynch Mob has a decent following so he always ends up getting good players, however it seems pretty obvious that George isn't the easiest guy to work with.

I completely agree with Andrew. Their first 3 albums with Michael Brobeck(who was called Michael Eden at that time) were masterpieces, but their new Serbian singer is a very bad fit and I can't listen to their newer albums. Nikola Mijic doesn't possess the metallic edge that Michael had and sounds very dry and I also have hard times understanding the words that he try to sing. It's a shame becaus
