Terrible news... Such a great songwriter and singer. I believe that he was supposed to be the singer in an early incarnation of the band Giant. Would have loved to hear those demos if they ever existed

On Friday I went to see Paul Di'Anno in a small bar in my hometown. I was floored by the support act Electric Gypsy. I had never heard of them, but they were really amazing. They reminded me of Lynch Mob, Navarone, Spread Eagle and maybe It's Alive in the funkier parts. Great band and they gave a great show. Picked up their album Mothership which is great too. Anyone here familiar with the

Maybe Jake can re-record some Badlands stuff with a different singer? Although those are, pure musically speaking, very large shoes to fill.

A really great album, and together with Isolation my favorite Toto album. At the time I never got why Dann Huff was compared to Steve Lukather so often in the magazines until I heard KoD. O/T: There was also a Dutch band with the name Kingdom of Desire somewhere in the 90's who made one album in this style that was actually not bad at all.

Love the Fifth Angel album, Pyramaze sounds to me like wall off sound and therefore is tiring on my ears. The songs are pretty great though.

A lot of great bands mentioned above. I would like to add Mindbomb the Urge and Love on Ice to the list, There were also some pretty cool Funky metalbands back in the day like Ignorance (album: positively Shocking) and Mordred. Then there are the Finnish madmen Waltari that play almost any genre on every album they've made
