Yes. Love their stuff. Living in NZ I grew up on a diet of Australian rock/pop of which 1927 was a big part. Their 1988 debut '....ish' is an excellent album from which they had a few hits in here in NZ and Australia. The following 2 albums The Other Side (1990) and Self Titled (1992) are also very good although I prefer '....ish'.

I love 'Stranger in this Town. I also like 'Undiscovered Soul' for something a little different from him. His third release 'Aftermath of lowdown' has some great tracks on it but some of them don't appeal as well.

I agree with Irwin on this. I have enjoyed all so far and look forward to this - without Shia Lebouf.

I am with Thinny on this. 'These Days' and 'New Jersey' top of the bunch for me. I actually never really warmed to 'Keep the Faith' apart from a few songs and it would be sitting at 5 or 6 for me. I do agree though that Dry County is epic!

I love this band (aside from the debut) and can't wait for the new album. As it is more of a 'project band' I never expect another album after each release and am consistently happy that they do provide another one. Dennis Ward and the band must, thankfully for us, really enjoy this side of their work. I love the new song!

Love everything about Nickelback - including the voice :) There is not much I don't like about the new album. Rockers, mid paced songs and ballads - variety.

A agree with you as well. I have no problem listening to most of the post 2000 output at all. Favourites would be Crush, Lost Highway (I think JBJ suits the country style more nowadays and enjoy this style), The Circle and This House is not for Sale.

Completely agree. The first 3 songs are standouts for me. The second half has 'You Ain't So Tough' and 'Strangers in the Heart' which I like as well.

A surprise artist me for was George Thorogood when I saw him a couple of years ago. It was a hugely entertaining show and he was continually improvising the whole show. It was so good but also so original! I can't pick a moment :)

Thanks Troy. I liked and a lot and their voices, to me, sound so similar. No wonder Terry sounded so good when he was with Great White. His voice really suited the classic Great White stuff.

I like that at a lot. I have all her albums and for the most part really like them. I am also hoping that Tom and James have done most the writing. I always enjoy their songs.

Cost of living is up here in New Zealand as well and the workforce is crying out for workers which all seemed to have fallen into a black hole. Stupid thing is people are blaming the government without really realising it is a global problem.

Yea. My 2c worth. The problem with those statements is there is an absolutely huge difference between 'better than' and 'I enjoy it more', which is what most people actually mean I would think. Carrie Underwood's version is one of those 'I enjoy it more' for me. But then I was never a big GNR fan anyway.

So pleased that you added Nickelback Troy. I Love them!! Also nobody has mentioned Bryan Adams so I need to add him to the list of great Canadian rockers!

I agree. I love 'Load' - but was never into the really heavy Metallica anyway.

Lol - Your not overthinking it at all mate. I have long considered that there is no such thing as a 'classic' album. Some albums sit amongst everyone's favourites which may be a reason to call it a classic but really its just personal taste.

I don't get why it is such a problem to some here that a lot of us (I am over the subject matter as well) are over the lyrical content of Steel Panther. Doesn't make them a bad band - we just have had enough and don't need our hearing checked for that. :)

WOW! Thanks Dave. I am checking out where in NZ he will be playing and hope to catch him. He has never been here before. One thing I am wondering though is whether it will be an acoustic show (which he seems keen on) or a full electric show. I would prefer full electric.

Johnny Hates Jazz was a band that didn't really put out much but their debut album from 1988 'Turn Back The Clock' was a hit for them. 'Turn back The Clock' is an amazing album that had about 6 singles off it. Love it. The follow up album didn't do well though. They put out an album in 2013 called Magnetized which I really enjoy as well.

That is a fair point also. The singles off their last couple of releases haven't been so 'juvenile' as earlier ones so maybe they are growing up :) Unfortunately mud sticks and their reputation from their earlier singles has stayed with them.

I really enjoy Nickelback (seen them in concert twice and they put on a great show) and never understood the almost angry hate that some people seemed to have for them - without any reason. This clip is very interesting. Thanks for that. As far as the juvenile lyrics are concerned - from all their albums there is probably only about 6 OR 7 songs that category for me. And I can live with them.

Most of The Moody Blues didn't appeal but Long Distance Voyager was the exception . I really enjoy this album and still play it now.

Probably my favourite Billy Joel album. No filler at all for me. My family and I are off to see him in December and can't wait. I thought I would never get the chance again. I live on a lifestyle block and we just got 2 lambs - my daughter has named them Billy and Joel :)
