Here's a nightclub gig of Quiet Riot with Randy long before either became what we eventually knew them as. The music kicks off at about the 3:50 mark. It just goes to show, everyone has a beginning. https://www.facebook.com/allthatshredsmagazine/videos/937826540321356/

has aged the best from the glory days of the hard rock period of the late 80's/early 90's? My vote goes to the s/t Whitesnake album.

Please understand, I'm not mocking those who have died of covid or callous toward their suffering or their family's grief. As I said, it can be serious for some people. I just don't buy into the way the media or the government has used it as a propaganda tool. At the same time, I respect and don't attack others for having a different opinion. To each their own.

Oz did an update video tonight (Mar 3). He goes into surgery tomorrow morning to try to remove the first of two brain tumors. Prayers for Oz.

I don't 'mask up' and haven't, and here I am over a year later no worse than before the pandemic. I encounter hundreds of people a week. The media and government would have you believe we are all dropping like flies. Yes, it can be serious in worse case scenarios, but by and large, it isn't. The 500K reported deaths in the US are extremely manipulated numbers. Your death is counted as a covid dea

I don't need government telling me how to live. Part of being an adult is making responsible decisions, and that applies to either side of the argument.

Say what you want about Frontiers, but without them, many of the bands we grew up with in the late 80's/early 90's wouldn't have a home and probably wouldn't exist. https://www.facebook.com/groups/FrontiersRecords/permalink/463059275047939/

New single has been released. I'm digging it. Tracii handles all guitars and Michael all vocals. What do you think? https://youtu.be/s9qF1ehswQI

A lot of classic rock bands being mentioned. Back then, record companies invested the time to groom and promote a band, unlike today where they are after the quick return. That's why in 20 years, people will still be listening to Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, etc and nobody will remember Britny Spears, Cardi B, Bon Iver, The Weeknd, etc.

Stryper's Oz Foz will be having brain surgery very soon. I think most are probably aware that when it comes to being a musician, health plans kind of suck and with coronavirus, musicians haven't been able to make a living without touring. His wife has set up a go fund me to help offset the medical, transportation, and lodging bills. Anything, even $1, can go a long way if everyone were to help.

OH CRAP!!! Someone dropped the ball on Wolfie's album cover. It's the same cover used by Violent Eve for their 2016 album 'A Great Day'.

Good call on Magdelene. I think it's the only song Boston covered. Walk On is a killer album too. Makes me wonder how it even came to Scholz's attention.

Age, money, complacency. Hard to stay hungry when your wallet is fat and you need a golf cart to navigate your mansion. Also, he's pursued other interests like his Soul Kitchen, being an owner of a defunct football team, trying to break into the NFL, and sucking up to those with wealth in and out of politics.

Looking for some recommendations on newer southern rock bands in the vein of Blackberry Smoke and the Allman Betts Band. I want to stay away from bands that use a wall of sound like Black Stone Cherry. Thanks in advance.

Do you remember when a musician or group did a gospel album as part as their catalog? Obviously, that doesn't happen any more, but could it be possible to cull a Playlist together from acts that have maybe done a one off song or changed up one of their own songs? Maybe impossible, but certainly a challenge. No Christian bands allowed. You can reach back to the 60s and 70s as long as its a rock ba
