Have to say that Nigel Bailey is a pretty good vocalist. But I agree on the songs though, it would have been better if he only did "his" songs. If he had done songs like Poor Man's Son, Somewhere In America, American Heartbeat, Ever Since The World Began and Jackie Don't Go, and skipped the 3 cover-songs and "Jimi's" songs, it would've been a perfect concert.

Mike has done that "microphone-thing" fo many years now. It has nothing to do with miming or singback or anything, he sings live. Believe me, I stood right in front of him and tried to figure out why he does that and see if there was any "suspicious". But he actually got in late on a couple of lines and then it was obvious that he does sings live.

Good tip Ross. The owner of Blue Desert is a friend of mine and a very nice man, sure knows his stuff about music. And yes, it's easy to get to Malmö from all over europe / world. Just fly to Copenhagen and take the train directly from there to Malmö Cental Station. The location were MRFS will be held is only a 5-10 minute walk from the Central Station

I think the debute has clearly better songs, more "hits". ITS is fantastic too, but the debute is one of the best records ever to come out from Canada.

Seems I'm one of the few to meet Neal Schon when he's in a great mood :) Met him twice when Soul SircUS played in Scandinavia. Just shortly the second time but the first time we talked for a while. I'd heard he was suppose to be a "little difficult", but I never noticed any of that, on the contrary.

Agree RAB, fantastic concert at Firefest. Todd did a great job fronting the band. I think they will release a DVD in the future, not from Firefest though, from a concert in USA this winter.

No wonder, Gowan and Tommy (especially) have amazing voices still. JY has a decent voice and Ricky is a great singer also. 4 guys who can sing like that is rare. REO has 3 guys (Kevin of course, Dave and Bruce) and Night Ranger also have good singers, bands like that don't need backing tapes.
