He is indeed a musical chameleon, so in that respect, it was no surprise. Love the voice, regardless of genre!

One of very few acts that I would actually cross the street to experience these days. If this song actually leads to the release of the album, and a subsequent tour, then I'd be a very happy camper! The song itself has a couple of clever details – I liked it :-).

QuoteI like it sometimes when they use a line or two. Listen to Your Heart (TNT) falls under that category.

In case you haven't seen Tim Pierce's contributions to the song: Tim Pierce-Mr. Mister Edit: I actually liked the YT version better :-).

That's for sure, rocknut :-). One of the other contestants did Black Dog, and, during the rehearsals, they showed Jorn demonstrating how to sing a phrase – instant goose bump alert! Any potential geofencing issues aside, check it out at approx. 36:30: Hey, mama, said the way you move …

Jorn is celebrating his 50th anniversary, trimming his hair, it seems. Catch a glimpse of him pulling duty as a judge/coach for someone doing a decent rendition of The Trooper here: Starfight on Norwegian telly. The Yosemite Sam moustache is still intact, tho' :-).

Sorry for not checking back sooner :-). Great vocals (more specifically, as in the case of Kotzen, timbre more than range), but I'm just not entirely sold on his guitar work – it's ok, but not spectacular. Soulful, yes; bluesy, yes, but it just doesn't move me.

Nancy was quoted somewhere recently (in connection with her jamming with Bettencourt?), and I'm paraphrasing very loosely, that Heart had a big offer for a tour next year, so she was hoping for things to be mended in turn for this to actually take place.

Unbelievable that anyone wants to visit Norway in the middle of winter, but kudos to you :-). If you feel like screaming, this may the place for you: http://The Munch Museum Visit the opera house – that's a nice one. The Royal Palace and the Parliament building are pretty close to each other, so please feel free to do a re-enactment of the gun powder plot if you're feeling cheeky :-).

Only the single (The Great Pretender) is available on Apple Music (or iTunes) – is that intentional?

I was never a big fan of Wild Child, but I saw them at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View a couple of months ago, and was blown away by that song as a show starter :-)!

Eddie Van Halen – guitar/bass, drums, wind instruments (and vocals, according to himself :-)) … Tony MacAlpine – anyone more skilled on both guitar AND piano?

Listening to the recent Rainbow videos, I remembered the time a friend of mine borrowed the Starfire CD from me, and upon losing it, gave me a CD by Mundanus Imperium instead. The sonics and songs leave a lot to be desired, but they do a version of Stargazer there. So for those who haven't heard Jorn's version already: Mundanus Imperium – Stargazer

Bad English by far. Curci has the range, but Waite has the lyrics and delivery. BE are far superior in the songwriting department, as well as better instrumentalists. Still agree that there are a couple of songs too many on the BE album. Also, not too fond of the triggered drums on the Alias album.

Hi, guys, Snowfall may or may not be a familiar name, but either way, I have uploaded a lyric video for an unreleased demo on YouTube: THE SPIRIT OF MERCURY. It's our way of thanking everyone who bought the first album, Cold Silence, and we hope you enjoy this song, which is the final one from us. Thanks for your support in general, thanks to Andrew for his support of the scene, and, yo

Very nice guys, but the vocalist used to come up with some, err, alternative pronunciations of English words. A Norwegian comedian addressed these issues here: Bye, bye Johnny

Really liked this one! Intro sounded a bit too close to Queensryche of the old, but the rest was cool. Btw, Andrew: the frontpage is in an eternal loop (the splash page points back to the splash, instead of the regular homepage).

This is not meant as a defense of the man in any way, but I remember seeing a video interview where he refers to himself as being a Ritalin kid, growing up. People with ADD/ADHD have a tendency to self-medicate (some people with this diagnosis abuse drugs and alcohol because medical drugs make them drowsy, feel zombie-like, lose a lot emotions/mimics, etc.), and it sounds like this is a big part

Wow – stunning performance. Wouldn't have guessed who the vocalist was in a 100 years, but who cares – I'm impressed by this (middle-)aging man!
