"All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You" was written solely by Mutt Lange and it's the Mutt song I'm referring to. Of course I'm aware that "Wild Child" was also written by Mutt (with the Romeo Daughter members). Love RD too, especially the s/t and Delectable. I enjoy most of Brigade tracks, including the b-sides. But if I had to choose least favorite songs from the album, th

Must be the Mutt Lange song :) But I love that song. As for Bad Animals, I think the gems are "There's the Girl", "You Ain't So Tough" and "Strangers of the Heart". "Who Will You Run To" is fine, but "Alone" is overplayed IMO.

Awesome. Love the Fake I.D. album so anything with Janet Morrison Minto/Pamela Moore Barlow will be a must-buy for me. Andrew, do you still have some copies of A Story Unfolds?

It's a decent modern rock album, but the cover of See You Again is unnecessary IMO. It feels like listening to an Ed Sheeran song in the middle of the album. I knew this song is popular and sounds familiar but I had to google it :D Apparently the original version is from Fast & Furious 7 soundtrack, performed by Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth.

Johnny Hates Jazz are more sophisticated pop than AOR, but still very melodic indeed. I especially love "Shattered Dreams", "Turn Back the Clock" and "Don't Say It's Love" from the debut album. "Nevermore", from their reunion album "Magnetized" (2013). Oddly enough this songs always reminds me of Joseph Williams, particularly the vocal melod

Steven Wilson surround mixes of the latest TFF album (and also Songs From The Big Chair and The Seeds Of Love) sound awesome indeed. But if he want to give Def Leppard a proper surround mix treatment, then he should have started with the classic albums like Pyromania and Hysteria. I don't think DSH is one of those albums that need to be heard in 5.1.

I know this isn't melodic hard rock but here are French cover versions of What's Forever For and Demons Down by Julie Masse. Both Mark Baker and James Christian were involved in her 2nd album "À contre-jour" (1992). She also covered Mark Baker song "Someday You're Gonna Love Someone" in the same album. To be honest I'm only familiar with the Swedish Gypsy Rose due to David Reece's involvement. The recent digital reissue of Reece/Kronlund "Solid" adds 9 songs from the Gypsy Rose "Another World" album as bonus tracks, while the other 3 songs are added as bonus tracks for Reece "Universal Language" reissue instead. Maybe you already know this :)

I believe there are two different bands with the same name (Gypsy Rose). One is a Canadian band that released "Prey" in 1990. Another one is a Swedish band (feat. guitarist Martin Kronlund) that later recruited David Reece on vocals.

The Japanese CD edition only has one bonus live track (the Chicago cover). The European edition does not have any bonus track on the CD, but it has a bonus DVD with 4 live tracks including both the Chicago and Journey songs.

Glad you pointed that out. Agreed. After one full listen, I think the two singles are easily the best songs in this album.

I was wondering the same. I expect to listen to Generation Radio today on Spotify but apparently according to Frontiers website the release date is August 12 now. It must be August 5 previously as listed on Adolfo's post. New Nordic Union and Sunstorm are released today but both are not on Spotify. H.e.a.t. is with earMusic, not Frontiers of course.

Both Holy Diver (2022 Remix) and Holy Diver (2022 Remaster) albums are available digitally on Apple Music and also on some outlets that sell Hi-Res Audio, but they are not on Spotify (at least in my location). The most noticeable difference on 2022 remixes is that all of the original intros and outros of the songs have been restored. It's nice to be able to hear the extended musical outro in

Thank you for the tip. I've just listened to the clip at the HMV Japan (link below). I personally consider "Hard To Let It Go" as a ballad, based on the short clip :) It is worth having for sure, although I think the album already ends on a big note with "Beautiful As You Are" (especially with Narada's drum solo at the end of the song). https://www.hmv.co.jp/artist_Journ

According to Tower Records Japan site, the Japanese bonus track "Hard To Let It Go" was written by Jonathan Cain alone. It will be interesting to know if it's a rocker or a ballad. https://cdfront.tower.jp/item/5430287/%E3%83%95%E3%83%AA%E3%83%BC%E3%83%80%E3%83%A0

Replaced by Damon Johnson? I'm 100% sure that the band was started with both Scott and Damon on guitars ;) In fact, Damon left BSR a few years before Scott quit.

It was discussed here: https://www.melodicrock.com/phorum52/read.php?1,1232597,1232597#msg-1232597 Still, thanks for bringing up the latest news. I'm disappointed that the music videos have been removed, although of course they will appear on Frontiers YouTube channel later. The band indeed play some melodic rock / AOR (especially Loaded Love and Right Now), but the last song Golden Tro

Bad Reputation will release Danny Wilde's debut solo album on CD for the first time. I wonder how legit is this reissue? Will it be a vinyl rip or not? No release date is mentioned but I think it will be sometimes after their late June reissues (Southgang and Slik Toxik) https://badreputation.fr/epages/box28314.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/box28314/Products/BAD220802
