I do want to sincerely apologize to Andrew and all on this board for any confusion I sowed. As I read the original message on the Toto FB page now, and the subsequent messages in the post, it does appear now as you say, Julian...that Dogs of Oz headlining dates that were in place before TOto were tapped to fill in for Billy Idol on the remainder of the Jrny tour. Though curiously I still see t

I do love Dare, and am happy to hear a new song that rocks, but lyrically it's very much a variation on just about every Dare song since Calm Before the Storm. I'd love to hear an album Darren/Dare songs without using the following words: storm thunder wind water rose eagle hills dawn sea rain mountain ocean skies shore fields dreams winter summer lion

Shake It Up tour was my first live concert experience, but I was also at this tour. Granted, not the most exciting performers, their style and songwriting made up for it. Still, it was a thrilling experience to see the actual band performing live - near my hometown - whose songs I had been listening to and living daily, on the radio and my record player for years leading up to it...

Introduced me to 'Riggs', and bought their one and only album, which I quite enjoyed. Jerry Riggs went on to join the Pat Travers band, playing some of his Riggs songs in their setlists, and other Riggs guitarist Jeremy Graf went on to join The Georgia Satellites...

i still think that 'Everything You Say' may be Ben Orr's finest vocal - such a great performance. Ric Ocasek must've thought so too, as it's the only song from that album he included in their 2016 hits collection, Moving In Stereo...and a live version at that!

Played the hell out of this in college, and one of my all time fav female vocal recordings! Saw Patty live in 2018 and she still plays a fair amount from this album, but unfortunately not the title track - likely has too many songs with the word "enough" in the title (Isn't It Enough, Sometimes Love Ain't Enough...). Not a bad song on the album!

Shout out to til' Tuesday's original guitarist, Robert Holmes. He had a great sound, restrained yet very melodic and creative. Although I really enjoy their third album, his guitar sound is sorely missing on most songs. Can't tell how much he actually recorded on that album, and I believe the band fell apart without even a tour behind it...

Though I didn't care for all his songs/lyrics, Fish composed songs using a palette of words like a master painter wielded colors, and I think his masterpiece portrait lies in his lyrics for Marillion's "Warm Wet Circles": On promenades where drunks propose to lonely arcade mannequins Where ceremonies pause at the jewelers shop display Feigning casual silence in strained romantic

In the late 80's I used to go see them in Providence, RI as they were a local band in the area. Some of the members formed nu-breed band Mars Hill, produced by Michael Sweet, who also played/sang on a track or two. After that they re-formed Action and released the recent album(s).

While I didn't care (or see the point) of Dare re-recording "Calm Before The Storm", I do like the re-recording of "Out of the Silence"; The original arrangements are retained, a few extra guitar licks added, but the sound is an improvement over the original, more punched up, esp. the drums. And Darren's voice comes across more so as the amazing instrument it is...

from Ronnie Platt FB: With the departure of Zak Rizvi from KANSAS i have received a lot of messages asking, "what happen"?. well I want to give everyone a perspective. I have had many jobs in my life, mostly noted driving a truck around the streets of Chicago in 100 degree heat in the summer and sub zero temps in the winter. Sometimes the best thing about many 80s movies was discovering 'new' bands from the soundtrack! I remember discovering Alien from watching 'The Blob', White Lion from 'The Money Pit' and Fastway from 'Trick or Treat'.

The Nukes are/were an awesome rock band! I was lucky enough to see them live in NYC in 2003 after their 3rd album release, met them too, all nice guys. They do have a great live concert vid from 2018 available on Amazon Prime (https://www.amazon.com/Present-Past-Live-Nuclear-Valdez/dp/B07KFPWC2N) a few of those songs on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLW2ncR9OEYGbAz1ncVioSuqlxK

White Lion opening for Triumph, 1986. Was initially disappointed reading sign posted on venue doors that Yngwie had cancelled...but super grateful that White Lion had replaced him! This was after 'Fight to Survive'came out, and a year before 'Pride' so few if any knew who they were. But as soon as the lights went down and Vito ripped out some Van Halen-esque licks from offstage, the crowd was ant
