A decent UK band from the early 90's playing their popular songs in West Yorkshire this weekend. Also about to release some new songs. Anyone go? A good gig/decent turnout?

That moment went you have a new brand track playing. You're in the groove and the rock's chugging along nicely, however, after the solo you think... what the feck! That was top drawer... and rewind for another play. For me,'Last in Line' Dio. Vivian Cambell. Immense

Watching Dokken live. I'm not asking for Don to go at it like a forkin zumba instructor on coke. Quite simply his energy and rapport with the fans on stage was dreadful and his powerful exciting music was a condradiction.i dont think he enjoyed the live performances, his expression was one of a bored zoo animal looking back at paying customers.Through a pain of glass for the thousand time, munc

Nice presentation and the church is an original interesting setting for a rock concert! Where there many fans about though? All the songs were earthy clean hardcore tunes worthy of any Rockers collection. Very enjoyable...gets my vote and look forward to seeing them ar Firefest 6.

Ok, the people, views and topics on this messageboard are great. But.. the messageboard itself is turd. why all the spam? This is 2008, surely a popular site like this deserves a better forum without viagra, pissing, dating and sexbitch mails littered all over the show. Treading carefully and sifting through the good shit from the bad is annoying. Subject: Pink cream 69? spam or not do I click on

The more young bands like H.E.A.T and Eclipse form, to blow the cobwebs off an aging bald genre the better! H.E.A.T's energy and enthusiasm made the Firefest crowd stand up and take notice. the ex-famous preacher of all things Melodic -Mark Ashton once said (on an old bit of MTV footage) that - 'music moves in cycles', he may be right. but.. will H.E.A.T revitalise and get the necessary

Fair play to the fella, he's dug around and done some research that might contradict the media portrayal of Obama. Seems he's sat on his ass, accepting the thoughts and opinions of an often unbiased US media. Too many sheeps in this would and not enough free thinkers. Nice one Blackie..

Fantastic signing for the organisers of the Z-Rock Festival. This band are well worth seeing again in the UK. Can't wait for Birmingham festival next year as this bubbly band hit the stage again to give us a nitro-charged performance which I'm sure will be entertainment electric. They are a tongue in cheek band who parody glam bands of yesteryear but so what! Catchy songs sung by fruitcake Gla

Thanks for the reply. I was just checking what was out there. I'm fine with surfing the various portals, but was wondering if I was missing out on some site that many Uk bands use to post their tour info. The tour dates section on this website looks under used. Cheers Again Mark W

kinhellfire..was looking forward to this event and was going to headbang at this festival instead of firefest, because i preferred the lineup. No brother firetribe and and poodles .sob! At least a concert has been rescued for the fans that have planned and booked it in their diary, paid for travel and booked a hotel. Me 450 people fitting into the rescue package rooms sounds cosy..shoulder t

Nowt wrong with having an opinion, and my hat off to you for writing exactly how you saw it without worrying about upsetting anyone. People were aghast at your comments, butI'm sure they have got over it .there are so many positive comments on this board that re-address the balance. Chin up and chest out.... keep saying as you see it. Even if others think its bollox.

My first fire fest and here's my take on the bands. NEXX - Eased me into the fest with a entertaing display of keyboard laden tracks and big chorus's by the under-nourished singer. Their easy listening tunes where a change from techical driving songs of their peers, but What a voice the Steve Perry lookalike has? Big and proud, (bit like steve's nose.err sorry journey fans)..
