Let's be fair, Perry is rarified air. So very few can come close to what he did on record. I think Arnel is a good singer. Strong voice. I saw him live with the band once and he's very energetic and engaging. I feel like Jeff was the perfect choice to move forward if they were not going to give Augeri time to heal.

I'm about to hit Track 9 on 'Freedom'. I skipped one about 1-minute in. I like 4 so far. Together We Run Still Believe In Love Come Away With Me After Glow But even those aren't "great"...just the ones on this album that stand out. Like you said, it's kinda "routine". It sounds like a band influenced by Journey...but it doesn't feel like Journey.
