My brother and I put a lot of money into Makin' Tracks when it was on the go. It had a few rockers behind the tills and were always OK with throwing on a few try me tracks before pulling the trigger.

I agree Europe have been excellent since the Shot from the Dark album IMHO and in their best form. Must be us folk in NI!! Not knocking Kee as I rate the albums he done with them but John is the better fit Rondo (NI) Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I thought Kee Marcello was the worst thing ever to > happen to Europe.....Europe without Norum is aki

Simply pointing the finger at Benitez and calling it a low point is wrong. Rafa understands the management of a club, he done wonders with Liverpool even during the tenure of the 2 cowboys Hicks and Gillette. Liverpool was rotten to the core then with regards to the running of the club and no funding and they were nowhere near as bad as you lot. Yet the Everton lot have spent an absolute bo

Your review pretty much sums this up for me as well nothing really to argue with. I am no Ghost fan but this is a superb melodic rock record if judged in that sense. The hooks and melodies are massive and they will be carved into your head that you will be humming them constantly afterwards!

Attended the gig in Belfast last evening. TBH the gig was a mixed bag in many areas. They start with an acoustic gig prior to electric set. There are definitely awkward moments with Lizzy’s brother taking centre stage! Lizzy certainly has the talent but interaction with crowd on an acoustic set was left wanting. She needs guidance from likes of Kip and Eric if she wants to do that again!

i think anyone on these boards cannot argue the influence that Meat Loaf had on our musical tastes. I for one always liked the BOH series and the 1st is a bonafide classic and we all grew up with it over the decades. He had a fantastic voice and a character in his own right Sad news and i echo the sentiments on here. Another giant of the music industry taken

Missed the original thread so putting this up for other members who may have missed the boat as the original thread is now on page 3 and if you are lazy like me, thats hard work on here! Anyways 2021 was a mixed bag for me and there was NOT a great deal to get excited about in Melodic Rock/AOR. Here are my favourites as compiled by Roon in terms of albums purchased and listened to (plays,

This song sucked ass back in the day. This album was extremely poor imho. Never ever liked it even back in the day. Have all their other albums and the likes of Pull, Karma absolutely put their debut to shame. Refuse to own it. Cannot fault the musicianship on the debut but the material is weak and 17 just adds fuel to the fire Daredevil Wrote: -------------------------------------------

I have been diagnosed as having heart failure and I was encouraged to get jabbed. Perhaps you should seek a second opinion. Aye we all hear the friend of a friend BS. Work colleague of mine, did not get round to getting jabbed. Took mild symptoms next I heard in hospital icu fighting for his life and still there. Has improved as not requiring machines to help him breathe Don’t be a d

Have not read much on here about Trivium’s new one which I think deserves a mention. I am a late comer to this band and have enjoyed their recent releases since Silence In the Snow. Had sampled a couple of new tunes on YouTube and tbh they did not do much for me … Needless to say I took the plunge and purchased the new cd to listen as intended. Now having lived with it and put it through a se

Listened to the album on Amazon HD last nite and on 1st listen i have to say i agree with Andrew; this is not a strong release at all from a very talented band. It was not grabbing my attention at all and found myself wandering off instead of listening or hearing something of interest. the musicanship etc is all there and what we love about this band BUT definitely this is a disappointment on fi

my advice is to go separates and build your HC with good kit if this is going to be main listening area and to get real benefit from surround sound.if you do it right you will get the benefits of 2 channel and surround sound as and when required a decent AV amp from the likes of denon, yamaha, arcam etc will be a must. NB not all av amps are great with music so you need to tread carefully; the
