Sigh. It crushed me. Roller coaster season for the Oilers. Now I am just burned out. It took everything from me, and now I'm just done. Wasn't doing well before these playoffs, and this just cemented it. Just want to walk away and never come back.

This six day break will benefit both teams. Yes most of Florida lineup went to the finals last year, but the Oilers have quite a few players that have also played in the Finals, so it should help. I believe Kane, Perry, Ekholm, Kulak and Janmark all have SCF experience. Going to hopefully be a great series for the Oilers! If they do lose, I think you'll see McDavid at another level next year!

Yeah I guess maybe the earworm is hearing Hysteria, but seeing the title of the song, I automatically went back to the Dels. Thanks all!

I honestly didn't expect the Oilers to go this far. I am stunned, as a cynical Canadian hockey fan, I never thought I'd see the Oilers in the SCF again in my lifetime. Yes they were "favored" very early in the season, and made an incredible run from basically last place to now. But still some thought LA had a chance, then they said "No way they get past Vancouver, they're deep!

Okay, really digging Teenage Rebel, BUT am I hearing things or did they take liberties here? May I present my case: Nestor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zRlaJw0AAA AND Del Amitri - "Always The Last To Know". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQjwHA7Ht64 Or am I just a drunk (in a band) ?

I'll let you know. Probably going to be about $20 CDN, but then again it being a free show they may not have a merch table!

I saw the growth in all those communities when I was there in 09. Comox, Courtney, Nanaimo, Ladysmith, Duncan and the wee bit of Victoria we saw. Not sure what drives the economy on the Island, but man it was so laid back in Ladysmith it was unexpected!

I spent two summers in Comox - 85 (for two weeks) and 86 (for a month) at HMCS Quadra - I was a Sea Cadet. Saw Expo 86 too. Love the island, haven't been there since 2009 though!

Just found out that Honeymoon Suite is doing a Free show here in Bonnyville, AB for Canada Day Celebrations on July 1st. So pumped for it! GASP it's been like 17 or so years since I've seen them live! So looking forward to it, plus the "venue" (an outdoor park) is like stumbling distance from my house!

I noticed a change in his songwriting after the fire at his house, then he lost his father, really changed his tone. Shrug.

Well then, these are bands, not solo singers, had to rack my brain, but here's my five: The Outfield (Again were to come to Edmonton in 99, but got double booked, and never did come through Western Canada - then the worst happened in 2014 and then in 2020. I miss them so very much!) Queen (with Freddie) - Was too young, stopped touring outside of Toronto or Montreal by 1984. Asia (Orig

Well at least if Def Leppard decide to do this song live Phil and Vivian are talented enough to play the solo live! Unlike a certain band (cough Nickelback cough cough cough hack) that when they play This side of a Bullet, they just play a pre recorded track over it and NOT play it live. Amongst other things in their "live" show. Oh wait, did I say that out loud?

Thanks Andrew. I hope all is well, I still listen to those Blackhawk Demos I sent you a while back with great fondness. I wish I could have met him back in 95 when I saw him with the band open for Tim McGraw and Little Texas. Many I talk to about that night say that Blackhawk and Tim Mcgraw stole the show. I don't have a lot of Blackhawk "swag" or signed stuff - A Henry Paul solo c

I wore my Def Lep/Motley Shirt quite a bit around Europe this summer when we did our "tour". LOL. Got a lot of high fives, etc Especially in Milan. Have to say, Glasgow had the best Fish In Chips on our trip - A little pub called Cairns just off that Commercial area (where all the Bagpiping kids busk) near the GOD AWFUL Hotel we stayed at - The Revolver. (If anyone is planning a tri

Wow. Darren Hayes posted that due to the White Vinyl Release of their Debut Album recently, they are #1 again on the Austrialian Album charts, 26 years after it's release. Also on the same chart, John Farnham and Inxs. Pretty cool eh? I know it's more Pop than anything, but man they new how to right some catchy tunes, and some of the covers are epic!

I haven't gone back to listen to Way Past Midnight, I Got Everything Or Slam Dunk in a long time. I did though give his self titled CD a spin a few years back and it hadn't aged well. Especially the 2nd "side".

I loved Cyclorama when it first came out, and like some here I took a few of the better DDY Tracks on 100 Years, wiht the Tommy and JY Tracks from Cyclo to make a " classic Styx" playlist. I reviewed Cyclorama so many years ago on 411Mania (Chuck ever emailed me to give me thanks) https://web.archive.org/web/20071016204412/http://www.411mania.com/music/album_reviews/216/Styx---Cy

Was always more partial to Let's Go and Dance Hall Days. Brilliant pop! Still kicking myself for not going to see them and the Cutting Crew's Western Canadian Club swing a few years back!
