I saw Planet Us (Project that turned into Soul SirkUS) in Vegas back on 02. They closed Sammy's show (before he did his tour with DLR). I was like HOLY SHIT! Neal Schon! Then, on a Friday night in Las Vegas, the crowd was red hot and were having a blast - tequila being pass around, etc. Then Sammy comes on and says "This next song is about some SERIOUS F'N Child Abuse". So did they "pipe" in vocals and instrumental parts? I made the mistake of seeing them in 07 (days before that leg of the tour ended ) the same week I saw John Fogerty. They were just going through the motions. Beer Launcher, Pyro, Beer Launcher, chatting, more launching beer. A bit more pyro. Oh here's "Side of A Bullet" and instead of playing Dime's solo, they just played

Kind of shocked that Roll To Me (which they do right before You Can't Go Back on many of their tours) wasn't included.. Still a killer setlist!

Another "true rocker" has left us. He lived a life that only a few of us will ever have. May he rest in eternal peace. Sigh. This one stings. So many fantastic memories and life events in regards to their music.

Time to cue the John Corabi on Rhythm Guitar and John 5/DJ Ashba on Lead Guitar rumours! :P John and Vince get along, why not have a 5 piece to fill out the sounds - yes two guitars in Crue may look weird, but it might take two to replace Mick!

So is this another Del Veccio project with different players or did these guys actually write their own songs?

I guess it is all up to him. But, but if the money is good, I'm sure they could do an hour set while Coverdale's voice recovers. Shrug.

Oooh I forgot about Europe! Could easily have Europe, Whitesnake (if Dave is feeling better) or Scorps as that 3-4th slot. Then yeah, someone like Classless Act or Nestor as the 5th.

Some friends really enjoyed the "Nostalgia" aspect of it. I watched the lyric video and it just dawned on me this is possibly how the writing/recording session went: Band sitting around the recording studio say, in Nashville. Ryan and Dan are looking at 80s memes on their phones, laughing. Chad looks over "guys, kind busy here, what the F are you looking at that's so funny

Don't think so.. Pete's been Michelle Wright's guitarist for several tours, and he doesn't mind putting on his Cowboy Hat every so often. This, I think is just another fun project he's doing with his friends, like Fair Ground with Mike Turner was.

Yep and some surprises for Gold and Platinum Albums on that list too! Styx hit gold twice with Return to Paradise - Both Album and Video went Gold in the USA, with the DVD going Gold In Canada as well. Not bad for CMC eh? lol

Dammit. Please keep him in your thoughts. Guy definitely is a warrior! Here's Mike's statement: I am writing today, to let you all know that my Leukaemia (CLL), has relapsed and I have been admitted to The North Wales Cancer Centre for immediate treatment. I have already started on a brand new chemotherapy regime and so I wanted you to know personally, that my life living with cancer i

Can we just all agree that Def was the best sounding of the bands on the Stadium tour, and they got their asses handed to them every night sound and performance wise when Styx co-headlined Canada with them back in 07? Yes? Sweet. Carry on! :P

Well.. This is definitely something interesting, I'm digging it so far. Sort of sounds like it's recorded live, but of course it's not. Gives it a nightclub feel right off the bat. It's very 70s influenced. It's like Butch took his witty writing and is channeling all of what we love in Elton John, Steely Dan, Eagles, Bob Segar, Billy Joel, and dare I even say Dr. Hook? Throughout the first fi

Well unlike most albums from Frontiers this is pretty decent! Not sure I care for Time To Let Go, and Dear God Smoking is a horrible song! Pure cringe! Have to wonder if some of these tracks were Rascal Flatts demos, definitely sounds like it!

Not really a horror movie fan BUT at least Mr. Peele did a clip with the Chimp (released after the movie) that explained his connection to Simon, which was from the TV show they were both on. The music during the clip? Lawrence Gowan's (Styx) "You're A Strange Animal" How can you not love that?

Loved the band honestly back in the 80s and even today. Peace In Our Time really stuck out for me (still does). Finally got to see them a month or so before my wedding in Edmonton with Mike Peters (first time seeing him live too!) which was a great show, with Derek Forbes from Simple Minds on bass. (What a really nice guy!) Was nicely surprised by the BC album with Mike leading it. The Journey w
