As a comeback/ "Strangers" era reunion album it's really good IMHO. There were new versions of "Doctor Doctor" and "Lights Out" made too, included as bonus tracks if I remeber correctly.

No affiliation with Rick Beato, just thought you might find this interesting. Music from the Big Bang of Melodic Rock. ; ) Best regards, Thomas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRb8wfLzvEo

This son of famous composer Henry Mancini released a pretty good early 80's style AOR/Radio Rock/Pop album back in 1983. It is not something I return to on a regular basis but after playing all of it today, I must say it has grown a bit. Maybe something for you Andrew to check out if you haven't already done so. To my knowledge it still has not been properly released on CD. P.S. "Wild Ey

Yes, I really like Player. "Danger Zone" is probably the one I like the most.

This might be one the best sounding unofficial (bootleg) live recordings from the Marcello era. I saw Europe with Dare as the support act in January '89 (Gothenburg) and that was a great show, even though Tempest struggled with the higher notes at times. Don't know if this recording here was a radio broadcast or if it's (just) a good soundboard. Best regards, Thomas https://www.youtube.co

Shooting Star live 1981. Quality isn't the best but still nice to see and hear. Arousing enough for me. ; ) Best regards, Thomas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5RYjfe2Rvw

Native sons is a pure 80's AOR cla...ehrm, I mean pure classic style melodic rock music album from the mid/late 80's. ; ) I know that "Walk In The Fire" is held in very high regard but as mentioned earlier, I also think it's a bit too samey. Best regards, Thomas McFapperson

Here's another fairly good album that to my knowledge hasn't been released in the CD format. Fronted by Michael McDonald's sister Maureen. I did a review (on facebook) of the 1985 Van Zant self-titled, ehrm, classic/album. However, a melodic rock cork sniffer corrected me by saying that there are too many covers on it, to be called a classic. ; )

This show was broadcasted on Swedish TV back in the day so I recorded it with my VHS player. A great show and very nice document of the late Norum era.

Powerglide - Glide On (Eko Records 1982) is a good obscure AOR/Pomp Rock album. Another one of the private press releases that I think deserves a proper CD release. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyJzC575gdE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZU5CazEcjk&t=6s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Zwwm5QbF4Y&list=RD3Zwwm5QbF4Y&start_radio=1&rv=3Zwwm5QbF4Y&t=24

Alliance - S/T (Handshake '82) should be mentioned here I think. In my opinion a truly good album with great Foreigner/Lou Gramm/Franke Previte-esque vocals by Mark Bucchare. Typical early 80's AOR/Pomp/Westcoast style and sound. Retrospect did a needle drop (I think) of this one in 2007 but I think it is good enough that it should get a proper release. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faeTlc8h

I guess this was an FM radio broadcast that was recorded.I don't know if it's exactly the same show (April 15th) as on the CD UFO - Headstone: Live at Hammersmith 1983 but think so.
