I was going to say Michael providing they did not use the Gotthard name, just look at Jaded Heart using a different singer has just not had the same impact as they did with Michael at front, despite the albums with new singer being pretty good, so no Andy Gotthard should only carry on under a new name or maybe go out as Gotthard and 'Friends'. It's a difficult one though, if a band is contracted

Al DiMeola is incredible, got quite a few of his albums and also DVD’s. For as long as I can recall I have always admired Billie Holiday even though she mixed jazz with blues. Miles Davis another I have a lot of time for. Frank Gambale is another jazz guitarist I totally love and also Shawn Lane showed he could play jazz as well as fusing rock etc.

How about Heaven 17? :) You know saying we can't talk about bands like these, does this mean that softer jazzier west coast bands like say Chicago are off topic as well cause they are not melodic enough? If so the post about Take That holds no water as Chicago have done some fine AOR moments, even Cliff Richard has rocked out a bit, so we can't talk about him either, remember that post :) N

Here we go again, You will never win an argument against good old Rocknut Mr Rivers. In regards to Take That, I used to detest them and still can’t stand the bulk of their material, but some of their music is irrefutably melodic and worthy of debate. I can't stand Kings Of Leon, but again, there are a couple of tracks that are sweet, as I find with most bands. If someone likes a band it’s

Maybe Roxy Blue, a bit heavier than Babylon A.D. but an essential album. Maybe Spread Eagle's 2nd CD Syrym could be worth you checking out with ex Babylon A.D. guys www.myspace.com/syrym

Not played these albums for ages, first one of the Silent Witness albums is defo the best, 'Take Me Back' is still a great ditty, but they were pretty good all round, and likewise Tower City nothing new but some good stuff, and there's just something I really like about that first Tower City album. Silent Witness albums could be remastered now I guess like the Steelhouse Lane records. Cheers N

Why? It's a fantastic album as it stands, why the need to re-record it? Leave it alone and just make new music.

Loving it, Satch just being Satch, nothing amazing, just a cool album and his best since 'Crystal Planet'.

I agree Paul, it’s a pretty good album all round. I got my copy on Wednesday, several songs did feel out of place which I think is perhaps what Rocknut is referring to, but it didn’t stop those songs on their own from being good. By and large, just what the doctor ordered, a good album, but 'not amazing'.

Aye but I often wondered who the artists were regardless of the song. Did you see them doing a parody of ZZ Top? search it on you tube.

Not heard it yet but have ordered it, but it has to be different from the debut as it's now a woman singing and not a fella, lol sorry !! I look forward to my copy arriving. I'm wondering how it sounds if compared to say 'Waiting For The Sun' and 'UCIII'? I thought WFTS had a really great sound and production and UCIII was a little less by the numbers so to speal. I hope it doesn't sound wors

No a superb album is where every album clicks from start to finish, no room for filler!!! OK let's take a look at some of the AOR albums of late. Terry Brock good album but several average tracks, does this make it superb and amazing? NO sir!!!! Same with Alter Bridge at least for me, but if you like I have no problems with that and I do like it as I have said, its just not amazing!!!

I said I LIKED the album and that it is very good and big sounding except for four songs which I didn't like, I just don't think it's an amazing album but I do like it except those 4 tracks, four me that doesn't make an amazing album as a whole. When coco has finished shit stirring perhaps you would care to re-read what I said and I never said I didn't like it Rocknut, FFS :)

Well I'm happy for you that you think it is 'amazing'. For me it isn't, simple as that, it's a huge sounding album with fantastic songs but also filler, so not 'amazing', if that makes me full of shit cause I don't agree with you, so be it, I don't give a toss pal, got it, get it, good :)

That was from me and I stand by it mate. It is a huge 'sounding' album but before everyone praises it the high teeth, I feel there are as I said at least four fillers, so hardly an 'amazing album as a whole' even though there are amazing songs on the album.

The whole CD is excellent, the band should be at the least getting interest from all those folk here into reckless love and heat, Bad City are BETTER!!!
