I think the songs are actually ok. The production lets the album down as a whole, and I'm not sure why a band such as Judas Priest would have an album out in 2014 with a flat production. It really is mind boggling. I don't really buy into the whole 'we wanted a live feel' or I'm hearing the word 'raw' a lot these days. Does that mean cheap??? Pay for a decent producer guys! A guy like Andy Sneap would make JP's album sound a million bucks. Surely these guys can afford it? And after the backlash from their last album, and with KK leaving, I'm sure the guys really wanted this to sound great! Overall, it's a solid album. The songs are good. The production is flat IMO, and let's the album down somewhat.
