Discovering music you haven't heard

Is it just me, or is anyone else regularly amazed by how much great music there is that you still haven't heard? I've spent many years listening to music, loving it, and tracking down more of it. I own thousands of albums and of course there are more that I've heard but don't yet own. Still, year after year, I hear more stuff that I can't believe I hadn't given a try before, or didn't even know existed.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm by far the biggest music collector out of everyone I personally know, and yet there's still so much to hear. It's crazy (to me, at least) that most people live their whole lives only ever hearing the same fifty songs over and over, year after year.
My biggest discovery so far in 2014 has been REO Speedwagon's 1982 album, Good Trouble. I've been a REO Speedwagon fan for years, but never completely delved into every one of their albums. It never gets any acclaim, but what a great, underrated album it is!
