Question is: where do you draw the line?
Some artists featured on MR.com (and related sites) operate in a rather large area that encompasses pop, rock and loads of melody...
Also, you have to take into account 'stuff that you grew up on'...
That being said, I like (not everything, but bits and pieces from) the Corrs & Avril Lavigne too. I also have an Orianthi album (quite girl power pop/rock in style, but there's an instrumental featuring Steve Vai & she's touring with Alice Cooper...)
On the other hand, I've recently bought 'best of' collections by Chris Rea, OMD & Gloria Estefan... and I love the early A-ha stuff...
I think most people here are open minded enough to appreciate good music for what it is, regardless of what 'genre' it is considered to be...
