I really liked this album from day one particularly for the fact that it wasn't the typical accepted sort of songwriting. No Verse-chorus-verse-chorus-solo-chorus-outro and the chord progressions versus vocal melodies are, to me at least, very different from the norm even now. It's like a melodic rock record for goths and people who enjoy their nightmares.

I don't play it all that much anymore but when I do, I set aside the time to really LISTEN to it. I like digging out the cool goodies buried in the mix and picking apart the chord voicings on guitar.
