In all honesty - I have never really 'got' Alice Cooper. I was too young, at the time he was around initally, to get into the whole theatricality angle.
I was only 8 when School's Out was released....but I do remember seeing him doing it on Top Of The Pops - and being scared of him. The black eye make up, black gloves, snake, sword and I remember him grabbing a girl by the hair while he sang it. It really freaked me out and I've never forgotten it.
School's Out is his only 'classic' song that I know properly, possibly I'm Eighteen and Elected too...but to a lesser extent.
