It's a good melodic rock album, which if had been released by a new band would be more highly praised. The issue with Journey now I feel is not in Perry's voice as they have replicated that to some extent with Augeri, and got that covered with Arnel.Its Perry's and maybe Rolie's song writing that is missing and that's why Journey albums just don't cut as much for many people now.
