..indeed it was, my error*. I thought the plodding WOMEN, and the rat-a-tat pop of ROCKET was a brilliant way to build that records opening vibe before "what you expected" kicked in with ANIMAL. Being a overly-long record anyway, I think it was good they didn't blow their wad with alll the obvious hits right off of the bat.
(*I have my own sequenced CD of it with ANIMAL at 2)
RIDE INTO THE SUN was left off / not recorded up to final product quality in the session's, as it's nowhere near the "song" quality of any of the final HYSTERIA material. It sounds like it does, a in progress idea that was recorded to a standard to allow inclusion as a "B-side". Its great they did it though. Nearly every 45 had non-HYSTERIA B-side material. Great for the fans.
