I would say Polished, more than smooth. Toto were almost always smooth, but The Seventh One is super slick and shiny. Not that that's a necessarily a bad thing, as I do still like this album quite a bit. However, I don't think there's another Toto album that sounds this perfect as far as audible quality, performance, arrangement and production.
