Re: Renaissance Records Re-Issues

I agree with Mr. Watson. I've gotten some that sound just fine, and others which are a bit dodgy. They are definitely not on par with Rock Candy or even Wounded Bird, but they still sound better than the old records, though. And, as he said, if they're the only ones doing the re-issue...well. The two most recent ones I got were PRISM - "Small Change" and Walter Egan - "Wild Exhibitions", and those were both decent enough.
One bit of advice I will give, is that it's often cheaper to buy them off of E-bay than via a regular online store (like say Amazon). There's a seller who goes by renasanz_cd, (who I'm pretty sure is guy who heads the label - I want to say his name is John Edwards, but that may not be correct) usually sells their catalog titles for half or less of what they go for anywhere else. And yes, we're talking brand new, still sealed CDs. I've picked up most of the ones I got from that label for $5 to $6 (minus shipping) just that way.
