Andy, I asked you for PROOF............not I heard, he heard , she heard rubbishPROOF is something tangible, like an unpaid invoice, or a statement from one of the affected band members.
I can tell you know that my co horts in Belfast have dug deep into their own pockets on many occasions to make shows happen, and believe me...I KNOW that each and every one has been paid EXACTLY what they were owed.
If you would care to name the band (in a private e mail to me if you wish) I will enquire from them and find out for definate if they have been paid or not, and will send you their answer in a private e mail BEFORE i put it on mr.com...just so you can see that I would not change any of the details.
Perhaps you overheard this 'conversation' BEFORE the final settlement was paid to the band or management on the night? Perhaps they were paid AFTER the show...after you heard the guitarists comments, and the comment "not the first time it happened" is definately made towards another promoter...after all, if you worked for someone ....didn't get paid the first time, would you go back and work for them again at the risk of not being paid again......don't think so...I know I wouldn't
Don't let your petty jealousy continue, your praise of CDC is fine, just not at the expense of others who have worked just as hard with less resources and actually did something positive for this type of music when no one else could have been bothered.
As usual , my hat is firmly off to Davy, Janice, Steve, Simon, Elaine, Al, Geordie and anyone else I may have forgotten.
These guys have the respect of all the bands they have worked with and it's well deserved..............
I await your e mail
Over to you
Kieran
