#3 is a highly provincial attitude point, but sadly, also very true. If the band didn't break in the U.S. , then that pretty much helped keep them from gaining more notoriety, despite how good they were/are.

As someone also said, it's about the same as what happened with Anvil.

And as someone else questioned, Krokus made it - but mainly because they had quite a few hits in the U.S.. Had they not, we'd likely be speaking of them the same way.
