Its got NOTHING to do with it being a better record (for some anyway).

Timing, PR and VFM was everything that sold this record. Timing = Youtube's rising star + Arnels tale was tailored made for prime time news nationwide + The Soprano's and the recent exposure of Don't Stop. PR = They ran with the circs from the above and it worked, JRNY's name was all over the place and they had the sense to put together a package that snagged those old school fans...IE With a greatest hits CD, a DVD and it sold at what? $12. Awesome value and guaranteed to sell.

Personally, I reckon the new music at the time of purchase probably meant naff all to a lot of those that bought it. A curio at the most. Remove the extra's..would it have sold as many? C'mon..the package sold it.

To the few dozen people on here that rave about the band and really do want new music, the new CD of course was OUR reason to buy, but to your casual fan from the past..nahhh.
