I still disagree with most of what you're saying, but on this much we do see eye to eye. But fans were rewarded - by being able to get the album a month earlier than everyone else. Should it have been more than that? Probably. They could have done signed copies, or given away something extra with it. The band did, however, also a free download of the entire album to anyone who purchased it from either Music Today or Amazon, since it did ship almost a week later than originally planned. Maybe you weren't aware of that?
But the trust and value issues you're having are just that - YOUR issues. There were ways to avoid them, you just chose not to.
Other than that, I don't really have a beef with you. Just accept some personal responsibility. Don't pass your poor judgment off as if it happened because of someone else. You made a bad call - live with it.
If it makes you feel any better, I too will never buy anything (if possible) from Music Today again because of their high shipping costs, and the delay in getting the product out when promised. But this case was an exception. I'm certainly not going to punish Cheap Trick for it.
