It would be more instructive if you actually realized a few things-
Dave Frey, the band's manager, works with Coran Capshaw at Red Light Mgmt/Music Today- they're all in bed together on this arrangement
Cheap Trick owns these masters- they have full control over pricing arrangements at retail- they can set a floor
Believe me, Capshaw in particular because of his management of the Dave Matthews Band, has a TREMENDOUS amount of juice at retail- if they were not supportive of the Best Buy pricing, it wouldn't be sold at the current price
The least the band could have done was offer a bonus track- either by download or extra track on the CDs they sold
It's money grubbing through and through by Frey, Capshaw, Music Today, Red Light... and frankly, the band is complicit as well
BTW- Andrew you are wrong- it's actually $7.99 per good song on the disk!
