Yeah, my statement was directed at the housing/banking market more than anything else, people with 125% mortgages, banks lending motrgages at up to 5/6 times someones anual salary, people with countless maxed out credit cards living way beyond their means, it's all greed and now everyone is paying for it.
I can sympathise a little with those in serious financial difficulties and who face losing their homes, i had to sell my house to pay off thousands of pounds worth of debt because i lived a lifestyle way beyond my means for many years, if i hadn't taken on so many credit cards and bank loans i'd still be living in my old house paying a miniscule £145 a month mortgage rather than £400 for a private rented house, but at the end of the day i have no one to blame but myself, just like the millions of others around the world who now find themselves 'up shit creek without a paddle'.....if we all hadn't been so damn greedy in the first place then none of this would have happened.
