I think in the current climate even if it was to go ahead there would be less people with money to spend. Even amongst people in my circles there have been a lot of redundancies or a lot of people really unsure about the security of their jobs at the moment!

Even though me and Rob are in more secure jobs than most and are quite comfortable we are tightening our belts and even cutting down on simple pleasures like take aways etc. After spending £800 between us last year couldn't justify doing that with the current cost of living and uncertainty about what will happen when we finish the first 2 yrs of our mortgage etc this year. I for one would rather be keeping my pennies in my purse than spending them at the moment.

I am sure there are many people who are really in a very uncomfortable position right now and I think it would be economic suicide to organise a weekend event for this year
