Pardon me for being somewhat excited by this but my beloved County look set to sign Peter Thompson from Linfield, who by all accounts is an exceedingly hot prospect. For a start, I'm delighted that we seem to have beaten Norwich, Hibs, Kilmarnock and Hartlepool to the post and, assuming personal terms are agreed, he'll be our first choice lone striker.
Any N Ireland/Linfield footie fans care to give me the lowdown on what we can expect from him player wise?
