Just arrived home after the trek back to sheepland. Still alive inspite of a police cars attempt to ram me off teh road - still shaking and I dont think my poor lil car liked having to do an emergency stop at 60mph and the ensuing skid down the road :X Fantastic weekend Friday was great for the socialising and enjoyed Soul Doctor didn't really catch anyone else. The er 2 pint glasses were different had to almost carry the fella back home lol.

Saturday was a blast. Disapointing to miss the first song or 2 of Jaded Heart due to the queueing. Loved them years back at Zrock and really enjoyed them again (fella loved em too). Crunch I really enjoyed too (as did other half) but please get the singer a wardrobe assistant lol. Valentine were superb and even my other half who doean't know much about rock was like bloody hell I thought it was the singer from Journey lol.

Can't stand Jorn and Harem Scarem majorly disappointed me last time so that was a good break to leg it to TGI Fridays for a good eat and the most scrumptious cocktail I ever had in my life. Caught the last few songs of Scarem and afain found them tedious and disinterested. I used t be a huge fan but sorry to me they have no respect for the AOR crowd and no passion or hunger at all. Even teh fella said who the **** are these tossers they sound nowt like the other stuff and look like a few ppl dragged off teh street and put on stage.

Tyketto - my main reason for being there of course. Scary to think I have been following MR Vaughn and co around teh country since 1992 :-o As usual there was no way we would be let down by them. they showed every other band what its all about. They were a class above everyone else and I spent the whole set alternating between grinning like an idiot and wanting to cry lololol. This was Rob's first time of seeing them and he was well impressed, his comments they look teh part, the musicianship is great and they just look so into it and have a great rapport with the crowd. Band of the weekend for me and him. Gutting that this is it and really wish i could get my ass to Belfast.

FM - always wanted to see these guys and was always in teh wrong place at the wrong time. Was really exhausted by this time and my feet were burning. Found a stool and did some socialising while watching them. Steve Overland rocks, if he was American he would surely have been massive. Really wish I had had more energy and enthusiasm so I could have given them my full attention. Anyway they sounded great would like to see them again when I can stand up lol.

All in all a top weekend, nice to catch up with some folk again and had forgotten how much I love Nottingham as a city. had time to get some shopping in and eat some great food. Just a shame that Rock City really is a derelict @!#$ hole. The loos are a disgrace and there is a severe lack of places to chill out/sit down and getting in and out of the main room after each band was a death defying krypton factor test. Given the average age of the Firefest goers we really need a venue that has somewhere you can sit and chill a bit and take the weight off your feet (think my standing in the front row all day days are well and truly over hahah). Next year I will be attending in my pyjamas and slippers lolol.

Anyway great fun and Keiran/Bruce how about performing a miracle and getting Romeos Daughter XD The fella says are there any women in rock XD
