Geoff,

Your wish is being granted. Stores are closing in the UK in droves.

However, here's a question for you....

If record companies are selling direct to the artist and cutting out the middle man does this mean that the artists will get a high royalty? Or will the labels just pocket the difference using some excuse like - we have to pay people to send the product out?

After all, the label is making more gross profit on the sale...
