I remember sometime in the mid eighties Dave Dickson doing a piece for Kerrang! on Billy Idol and the entire piece was about Davefs problems getting across New York City to do the interview...and failing! If memory serves, Billy Idol never actually featured in the piece but it was absolutely brilliantly written and very entertaining...definitely more so than had he actually spoken to Billy Idol, I think. We donft have the great writers anymore, and thatfs a fact.
