Back in around 1987 a very bluesy melodic rock song called "Lies" was played a lot on the radio. Kind of Robert Cray sounding.
Pretty sure it was a solo artist and and the chorus was something like "Lies (lies....) caught up in this great big web of lies.

Anyone know who the artist was pretty sure it was a top 20 hit in the summer/fall of 1987.
