I listened again recently to my copy of Jeff Waynes War Of The Worlds and although not melodic rock I must say what an incredible piece of music it is from start to finish.
Richard Burton is awesome as the narrator and there is a fantastic contribution from Phil Lynott as the Parson Nathanial, and one of the most enchanting songs ever recorded Justin Haywood's Forever Autumn......

Although this CD will in no way be everyones cup of tea to me its a timeless classic.
