Powercuts & Rockworld... now they bring back memories. Went to Uni in Lancaster and seemed to spend half my time in Manchester at the aforementioned places and the other half either at Morecambe Gardens or Raiders in Preston.... Swear if my grant could have been paid direct to Powercuts it would have saved me a lot of bother...

I finally returned to Manchester a few years later and couldn't believe that Powercuts had gone to be replaced by what looked like offices or trendy apartment building. Some town planners just don't have any soul...

I also remember going to loads of gigs at Manchester International 2, the only venue I have ever been to where security had Rotweilers on the door... not certain if that was down to the location or the fact that they just thought that a load of over made up, barely clothed tarts were a recipe for trouble (and that was just the blokes!!!)
