I studiously avoided this thread as I actually had a copy of this album to review and din't want to be influenced. Got to say that I agree with the comments about the Giant influences. I just don/';t see them at all.

The problem on initially listening to the record was the dispirate nature of the tracks and therefore the album didn't seem to hang together as one cohesive piece of work. However as Lee has said above, having listened to it numerous times the album grew on me.

Stand out tracks are 'Empty Promises', which to my mind is reminiscent in style to that of Richie Sambora in his solo work and 'Ashes & Dust, which is a much more R&B orientated number.

It will certainly be interesting to see what Ed Terry comes out with next time around and whether he settles on a distinctive style rather than mixing and matching genres.
