if you have been affected by this the proper people to contact (in the UK at least) are the Independent Committee for the Supervision of Standards of Telephone Information Services, (ICSTIS). There website can be found at www.icstis.org.

As an aside it is not just BT ISP customers or line rentrers that are affected by this but anyone who uses a dial-up connection.
