Hmm, would liek to say that best gigs of the year are any where I haven't run into, or gone with, Nic or Carolann, but as that wouldn't be many then I guess the list would be as follows:

1) Brides Of Destruction - Camden Electric Ballroom - June 9th 2004
Simply stunning, both band and audience
2) Nexx/Vaughn/Firehouse/Pride - Ritmo Y Compas Madrid - 6th March 2004
Wasn't expecting to see Firehouse play accoustic and also got a full
Pride show rather than just the five or six songs on the UK dates.
Couple this with the manic Spanish audience and you have a sure fire winner.
3) Jeff Scott Soto - Crewe Limelight - November 7th 2004
Got to agree with Nic on this one one of the most amusing and relaxed gigs I have ever seen
4) Thunder - Scarborough beached Festival - July 17th 2004
Surreal, watching a band you love on a beach at a small Yorksire holiday resort and all for free as well (apart from the ridiculous hotel costs that is!)
5) Mike Tramp - Newcastle Trillians - 31st October
In adverse circumstances, what with his guitarist walking out a couple of days earlier, the man simply cracked out the accoustics and got down to playing some great rock and roll.

Honourable mentions must go to Tyketto/Teer/Deadline for a great tour all round, as well as Magnum, Mitch Malloy, Sebastian Bach and Twisted Sister.

Worst shows of the year. WASP/DrgaonForce at Nottingham Rock City and UFO at Newcastle City Hall.

All in all a fantastic year for gigs and with the promise of Judas Priest/Scorpions, Motley Crue, Velvet Revolver, Iron Maiden, Glenn Hughes, Magnum, Quiet Riot, Thin Lizzy all coming up in 2005 plus whoever else may yet announce tours the future looks bright as well.

So long as my car holds up!!
