"For clarity, no one was ever prevented by me from making their own personal decisions," Schon says in a very carefully worded official statement. "At the same time, we were all advised by our representatives that there are contractual obligations tied to touring that need to be honored."

This is what Neal is saying. Arnel wasn't forced to sign the contract, but many musicians feel pressure to keep going, not just for the band, but for the organization and employees.
I think Arnel asked for reasonable accommodations that were all ignored. Going to the press and social media posts do not help anyone.
Being away from home and family has always been hard for Arnel and when they have days off or two week breaks it is incredibly difficult for Arnel to go home like the other members can. His home life is a total mess right now as well. I have empathy for him, but he should honor his obligation and then move on. I do wish the band would be more understanding, but also get that getting blasted in the press and on social media backs you into a corner.
I will say that when I saw them in April, they were great. Arnel was great the whole night.
