Historically, when Richie's done things like this, his playing-style is sloppier and/or more improvised. Possibly because it's a more laidback, fun gig with friends, and not a big, polished production like a Bon Jovi show. Vocally, like everyone, he's getting older (67), and he's losing some of what he's got. He's not out there singing everyday, but if he were, you might see some improvement as he voice regained some strength. All that said, at least he's doing some playing instead of doing social media posts or videos from the couch, half or more in the bag.
