The VH brothers constantly had an agenda with regards to whoever they had a problem with at the time. They even hated Mikey who is without a doubt one of the most likeable people in rock.
As for Hagar he was in the band at the time, so obviously he was on the brothers side at that point. And of course Roth never insulted Sammy did he....? ;)
