Like many of the successful duo's that have graced the soundwaves, the Tremonti Stapp combo was no different in bringing some fantastic music.

While I have always felt Tremonti was the backbone to almost everything they wrote (case in point Tremonti's solo stuff and of course Alter Bridge), love it or hate it Stapp's voice was as crucial an ingredient.

An acquired taste for sure as were often his mannerisms at the tail end of grunge which had for the mostpart tried to eradicate old style rock stars LO. But not only in lyric, Stapp's strength was his melody. Where he goes with some of his stuff, and often what sounds like the obvious route isn't as simple as it seems.

So yeah I loved Creed back when. They were a breath of fresh air IMO and I dug all their albums at that! One of my biggest upsets was going to see them live purely because Sevendust were supporting them however Sevendust pulled out days before the show and I missed them (7D remain a fave of mine to this day). But Creed were fantastic so kudos to them.

They were one of those bands (IMO) whose best material often couldn't be found on their actual albums but instead soundtracks etc LOL.

Their reunion album had some good stuff too particularly the single Rain https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3k3jxi4JhXA which fell nicely between old Creed and Alter Bridge at that time. One reason why I love that first Alter Bridge album over all AB is it still had that emphasis on melody Tremonti was still peaking (Creed-isms?).

Anyway will go delve into Scott's new album but tbh aside from a couple songs along the way I've never found his solo work as compelling as that with Creed or (as others have rightly pointed out) his album with Art Of Anarchy.

Anyway, my 2c some change and cheers for the heads up leftfielduk :)
