Truth be known, I didn't think he'd be known outside of Canada at all, with (perhaps) the exception of his '80s hit, Black Cars.

Growing up in the '70s and early '80s, acts like Gino vannelli, Burton Cummings, Trooper, Sweeney Todd, Chilliwack, Prism, etc. were all over the radio. I just came to assume that they were not really known elsewhere.
