Am i not right in saying that when Hagar joined VH, they were probably one of the biggest bands in the world, at least along with The Police who incidentally split around the same time?

P.S I think Van Hagar was more commerical pop sounding at least chart wise than the original VH (apart from Jump obviously).

Van Halen with Roth was so original and unique, but when Dave left, they became 'just another (good) american rock band' Dunno if that makes sense?
