That's a bit harsh I think for a first time offending assault charge. And he has not done it since. When I say LOCK THEM UP FOREVER, I am talking about people that are doing really bad things continually. They prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that they cannot be trusted to live among regular people. Please do not try to twist what I am saying into some barbaric speech. I have a heart. Give people a small amount of leniency instead of the revolving door of the prison system we have over here now.

You can murder someone in the US and be out in less than 10 years if you have a good lawyer and are well behaved in prison. That needs to stop.
